This includes in particular your name, e-mail address, telephone number, address, date of birth and a range of other data that you provide as part of an online order, registration, creation of a customer account or an enquiry sent via the contact form (“personal data”).

This privacy notice does not apply to statistical data that we collect for technical reasons when you visit our website and that is anonymous and therefore cannot be directly linked to you. This statistical data includes information on the number of your visits to our website; the time you spent on our website; the specific pages you visited; information about your web browser(s); IP address; software and hardware characteristics. This data is collected and processed anonymously in order to obtain information about the use of our website and to optimise it accordingly.

2.2 Collection, processing and use of your personal data

As a general rule, you can use our website without entering any personal data. Where our website collects your personal data, this is done on a voluntary basis wherever possible.

We collect and process the following categories of personal data for the following purposes:

2.2.1 For the purposes of our business relationship

We will collect and process your name, address, purchase history and similar personal data that is necessary for handling our business relationship, for example to respond to your enquiry, to process our mutual agreement on the delivery of ordered goods, to process payment, or for technical and administrative purposes.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as it is necessary for the performance of a contract. We may have obtained this data from you via the e-mail address listed on our website or via the contact form on our website.

We will retain this personal data for the duration of our business relationship. If no transactions take place between us for a period of 3 years, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, unless we are legally obliged to retain it for a longer period.

2.2.2 Creating a profile for our database

When you first contact us by e-mail or via the contact form on our website, or when you take part in a promotional campaign, such as registering a product for an extended warranty, we will create a profile for you in our database. Any personal data you subsequently provide, for example when making a purchase or contacting the customer line, will also be stored together with your profile.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as it is necessary for the performance of a contract.

We will retain this personal data for the duration of our business relationship. If no transactions or contacts with the customer centre take place between us for a period of 3 years, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, unless we are legally obliged to retain it for a longer period.

a) Subscription

If you subscribe to our e-mail newsletter, we will use the personal data you have provided to us with your consent to send you the e-mail newsletter. To subscribe, you must provide your e-mail address. Any further data is provided entirely voluntarily and will be used to address you more personally in the newsletter and to offer you content that interests you.

The newsletter will contain the latest news and information about our products, as well as general advice and information relating to our products. The legal basis for this processing is your consent within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

We will retain this personal data (i) until you unsubscribe from the e-mail newsletter, or (ii) for a maximum of 18 months if you have not opened any newsletter. After that, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, unless we are legally obliged to retain it for a longer period.

You may withdraw your consent to receiving our e-mail newsletter at any time, without giving reasons and with immediate effect. You can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our e-mail newsletters or via our contact form.

b) Newsletter usage analysis

We are constantly striving to improve our services. For this reason, we evaluate the distribution of our e-mail newsletters, for example whether the e-mail addresses entered exist, whether the newsletter was opened, which links in the newsletter were used, and whether there was a reply or a bounce (automatic reply, error message, etc.). The legal basis for this processing is your consent within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

We will retain this personal data for 2 years. After that, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, unless we are legally obliged to retain it for a longer period.
